Public health specialist senior examination

The Department of Long-Term Care has been recognized as a public health related department that can apply for the professional license of public health specialist by Executive Yuan in 2021.The mandatory elective courses listed in the Department’s curriculum planning comply with all of the public health courses (total 18 credits) required for the application of the public health specialist examination. After graduation, students of the Department of Long-Term Care can apply for the public health specialist license examination organized by Ministry of Examination.

Certification of national long-term care core curriculum modules

According to the program of “Ministry of Education Healthcare Industry-University Cooperation Center”, institutes should elaborate a plan for courses that are ideal for long-term care trends and students’ career development in order to continuously promote the cultivation of long-term care talents. After joining the curriculum pilot program in first semester of the 2016 academic year for the first time, the Department has succeeded in combing the program’s “four major professional abilities” with the Department’s “educational goals” and “core competence” in 2017, and integrated “four major professional abilities” related courses into the aspects of professional course planning to form the department’s unique characteristics.
